Untamed Icons

Welcome to a new and special area of my website. It’s my intention for this to be a strange, quiet and holy place to encounter images or objects I’ve made, with the specific prayer that they will be used by Spirit, for an encounter with God. 

Icons are traditionally seen as windows to God, and a focus for prayer. How God meets you through these windows could take many forms, including but not limited to, a quiet or a loud way, an obvious or a more subtle way, a surprising, unexpected, uncomfortable, delight filled or unorthodox way…. You don’t have to be religious to be here, and any faith tradition is welcome. 

My idea of prayer here is to be still with the images, to be present to what is alive in your body, and to allow your response to be something you hold as special or sacred. You might even take something from here, into your day. 

As for the name I’ve chosen, the extraordinary title “Icon” is simply a humble trust in my own request, and Untamed is in defense and love of that which will always remain wild. Thank you for coming in !
